Hotel Villa Capri is in the middle of several Italian cities. For those passionate about culture and tradition for their holidays we recommend a visit to the following places.
Brescia
Nicknamed “The Lioness of Italy"
it emerges from the high Po Valley at the outlet of Trompia, at the foot of mount Maddalena and the Cidneo hills. The historical centre is encompassed by the remains of the ancient medieval walls and is dominated by the low hill on which Brescia castle is easily visible. The rest of the city expands geographically and visibly over the surrounding territory, surrounded by the belt of pre-alpine mountains.
Verona
Every day Verona is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists, many of which are foreigners, by virtue of its artistic and architectonic wealth. Among the most recognised and visited monuments are the Arena and Juliet’s house. Given its particular disposition it exceptionally represents the concept of a city fortified in several stages determining European history.
Mantova
Mantua rises on two small islands created by debris deposited by the River Mincio, which still surrounds the city on three sides taking the name of Lago Superiore, di Mezzo and Inferiore (Upper, Middle and Lower). Thanks to the inheritance left by the Gonzagas, Mantua represents one of the main centres of the Italian and European Renaissance.
Bergamo
Bergamo is in the land of piedmont where the high valley leaves space for the last hills of the Orobie pre-alps, halfway between the Brembo and Serio rivers. The historical centre of the city was founded on these hills. The city is thus divided into two distinct parts, Città Alta (High City)
, the historical wall-surrounded centre and the Città Bassa (Low City)
, the modern part.
